Adult Classes are offered weekday evenings at 6:30pm and run in 6 week sessions

IMPROV I   Tuesdays 6:30-8:00pm
1.5 Hour Class

Instructor: Bobby Milhouse

In this class explore the fundamentals of improvisation and comedy, improve your storytelling skills, learn techniques to think quickly on your feet and to be more creative. This course is designed for the actor who wants to learn the essentials of good scenic improvisation or anyone who wants to improve their teamwork and communication skills. Through coaching, warm-up exercises, creative performance games and basic short-form scene-work, you will learn how to be more spontaneous, trusting and cooperative and how to listen in a fun, creative atmosphere. This class is open to beginning and experienced actors.

IMPROV II
Mondays 6:30-8:00pm

This course is designed for students who want to build on the introductory improv class or have some prior experience with improvisation. Throughout this course, students will participate in a variety of fun and engaging exercises and games aimed at honing their improv skills. Whether you’re looking to improve your performance on stage, boost your confidence in social situations, or simply have a blast with fellow improvisers, this class has something for everyone. This class will provide a supportive and collaborative environment where students can take risks, make bold choices, and grow as improvisers. Whether you’re aiming to perform on stage or simply want to unleash your creativity in a fun and spontaneous way, Improv II is the perfect place to continue your journey in the world of improvisational theater. Let’s create some magic together!

COMEDY 101 
Thursdays 6:30-8:00pm
1.5 Hour Class

Instructor: Dan McGowan 

Taught by veteran comedian, Dan McGowan, COMEDY 101 teaches you the basics of stand-up comedy. You will learn how to find material for jokes, how to craft jokes, how to put sets together, how to work with the microphone, stage presence, finding your “comedy voice” and more. If you are a newbie, or just need to freshen up your skills, this class is for you! Many of our past students are performing on a regular basis in comedy rooms all over the North State and a few have even started producing shows! You could be next! Our class final is a comedy showcase in our theater! Reigster now for this class. Class limit is 12 students. Age is 18+.

Final Showcase will be on Tuesday July 16th @ 7pm
