REGISTER TO AUDITIONWe are thrilled to extend an invitation to audition for the upcoming MainStage productions at the Redding Performing Arts Center. As we gear up for our exciting Spring and Summer Seasons, we are seeking talented individuals who can bring life and depth to our upcoming production. All roles are currently available. Redding Performing Arts Center Mainstage is a community theatre organization. All roles are unpaid positions.

AUDITION REGISTRATION AND AUDITION SLOT SIGN UP INSTRUCTIONS
Upon registration you will recieve an email from reddingpac@gmail.com with further instruction that will allow you to sign up for a 5 minute audition slot on the Sign Up Genius provided or to submit a video audition to reddingpac@gmail.com with MAINSTAGE VIDEO AUDITION in the subject. You only need to be at the audition for your 5 minute time slot unless you are audition for the musical Anything Goes. If you are auditioning for Anything Goes you must also attend one of the choreography audition sessions: either 4 pm – 4:45 pm or 5:00 – 5:45 pm.

Dance appropriate clothing/ shoes (tap shoes) if you are auditioning for Anything Goes
Water bottle we do not have a drinking fountain in our facility
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Please arrive 10 mins early before you audition to get settled in and prepared for your audition. Auditions will take place in RPAC’s Theater. When you arrive you can wait patiently in the Lobby or use one of our studios in our education wing to warm up. When we are ready for you to audition we will invite you into the theater to audition. Please have sheet music or your track on a bluetooth enabled device ready to go. We will try our best to get you in during the time slot you signed up for, however we may run ahead or behind depending on how long each audition takes. If you are auditioning for Anything Goes you must also attend one of the choreography audition sessions: either 4 pm – 4:45 pm or 5:00 – 5:45 pm.
HOW TO PREPARE
Please prepare the following for your audition:
32-Bar Song Selection: Musicals (Anything Goes)
Select a 32-bar excerpt from a musical piece that best showcases your vocal range and acting ability. Accompaniment will be provided, so please bring sheet music in the appropriate key or an accompaniment track to connect to a bluetooth device. A pianist will be available.
Monologue: Plays & Musicals (Bus Stop, Twelfth Night, & Anything Goes)
Prepare a one to two-minute monologue (Shakespearean for Twelth NIght) that highlights your versatility and range as an actor. This is an opportunity to exhibit your storytelling capabilities and emotional depth.
Aria Selection: Opera (Magic Flute)
Choose an aria from the opera repertoire that demonstrates your vocal ability to convey emotion through music from the classical period. Please bring sheet music for the accompanist, who will be provided.
Dance Audition: Musicals (Anything Goes) Dance Audition Slots: 4 pm – 4:45 pm or 5 pm – 5:45 pm
Please come prepared to learn a short broadway combination. Iif you have experience with tap dancing please be prepared to tap. Anything Goes incorporates type in one of the major numbers of the show.
