Theater Instructor for Children’s Theater
Required Availability
Monday – Thursday 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Job Description
Redding Performing Arts Center is seeking a passionate and Theater Instructor to join our team for our Children’s Theater program. You will be responsible for instructing and inspiring young actors, fostering their creativity, and helping them develop their theatrical skills. This is a part-time position with classes held in the afternoons Monday thru Thursday.
Responsibilities
~Plan and conduct engaging theater classes for children, ages 6-12.
~Develop and implement curriculum that covers acting techniques, improvisation, storytelling, stage presence, and teamwork.
~Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students can express themselves and build confidence.
~Assist students in preparing for performances and showcase events.
~Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their acting abilities.
~Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure smooth program operations.
Qualifications
~Previous experience in teaching theater or working with children in a creative capacity.
~Strong understanding of acting techniques, stagecraft, and theater production.
~Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
~Experience in music (vocal coaching) and/or dance encouraged but not required
~Patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to connect with and motivate young learners.
~Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit various learning styles.
~Flexibility to work during the specified afternoon hours, Monday to Thursday.
~Bachelor’s degree in Theater, Performing Arts, Music, Dance, or related field (or equivalent experience) encouraged but not required.

Community Coordinator
This is a part-time position
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Represent RPAC in the greater Redding community by attending chamber of commerce meetings, networking with local businesses and organizations, and promoting RPAC events and programs.
Create and implement marketing and outreach strategies to increase awareness of RPAC and its programs.
Develop and maintain relationships with community partners.
Use graphic design and social media skills to create flyers, posters, and other marketing materials.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous experience in marketing, event planning, public relations, or a related field.
Strong graphic design and social media skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Proficiency or ability to quickly learn Google Workspace, Adobe Creative Suite.

Dance Instructor
This is a part-time position
Responsibilities:
Teach children a variety of dance styles, with an emphasis on musical theatre.
Create and implement lesson plans that are age-appropriate and engaging
Evaluate student progress and provide feedback
Choreograph routines for recitals and performances
Maintain a safe and positive learning environment
Communicate regularly with parents
Qualifications
Previous experience teaching dance and/or working with children
Strong knowledge of dance technique
Ability to create and implement lesson plans
Ability to evaluate student progress and provide feedback
Ability to choreograph routines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for dance and working with children
