Performance Costuming
Undergarments:
It is strongly recommended that all students wear either nude or black colored undergarments with their costumes if you have them or can purchase them. Camisole leotards work well for girls, a white tank top and boxer briefs work best for boys. These are to be worn during shows, not during camp days.
Shoes:
Please have your students wear black jazz or black ballet shoes with their costume for performances. Please label dance shoes (not just packaging) before sending them to RPAC! Metallic sharpies work well. Please reach out if acquiring dance shoes will be a challenge for you, we can help!
Socks:
Students are welcome to wear nude colored tights or black no-show socks with their dance shoes. They will be asked to remove any other socks for dress rehearsals and
performances.
Costumes:
All other costume pieces will be lent to the students by RPAC.

About the Show
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat:
Andrew Lloyd Webbers masterpiece comes to life!
One of the most enduring shows of all time, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a reimagining of the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers and the coat of many colors.
Told entirely through song with the help of a main character Narrator, the musical follows preferred son Joseph.
The magical musical is full of catchy songs in a variety of styles, from a parody of French ballads (“Those Canaan Days”), to country-western (“One More Angel in Heaven”) and calypso (“Benjamin Calypso”), along with the unforgettable classics “Any Dream Will Do” and “Close Every Door.” Appropriate for all audiences and groups, Joseph is performed hundreds of times a year by schools across North America, the U.K. and around the world.
TECHNICAL THEATRE CAMP
Want to learn the ins and outs of theatre?
Our Technical Theatre Camps offer students the opportunity to experience the production side of theatre!
Tech Camp coincides with Theatre Camp but will focus on learning the ends and outs and “behind the scenes” elements of theater. Campers will learn how to build sets, make props, run sound & lighting, hair, make up, and stage managing.
