Meet Nala

Nala has built a vibrant career performing and teaching across a tapestry of genres since studying Classical Vocal Performance at the University of Louisville. Now based in Northern California, she has graced stages with the North State Symphony, Redding Performing Arts Society, and regional jazz and roots festivals, while also releasing Lofi Your Standards, Vol. I & II and preparing her upcoming jazz trio album As You’re Blue (2025). As a teacher, Nala delights in exploring a wide range of musical styles with her students, helping them uncover their inner storyteller and express the many colors of their voice with technical confidence and intentional creativity.

Katrina holds an M.A. in Creative Leadership and dual B.A. degrees in Acting and Psychology. Her passion for human development shines through in everything she does, from exploring the power of the spoken voice and collaborative storytelling, to promoting emotional wellness through the arts. Katrina brings a rich and diverse background to RPAC, with experience in production management, technical theatre production, and voice and speech development.

Sandra has been playing flute for over 40 years and has her Bachelor of Arts degree in dance from University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She loves the arts because it’s a place that uses both her analytical and creative sides, and is where the journey is just as fulfilling as the performance. The greatest joys of her life are her faith, being married to (and traveling the world with) her husband, Joe, raising and homeschooling her six children and now being a grandmother.

Amanda holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from California State University, Sacramento, and Associate degrees in Music and Psychology from Shasta College. She has trained in classical voice, movement, and character development under distinguished instructors including Julie Miller, Dr. Robin Fisher, and Dr. Malcolm Mackenzie, with additional studies at the Berlin Opera Academy. Amanda performs and coaches privately while balancing her passion for teaching and performance. Outside the arts, she enjoys cooking, baking, and preserving, skills she learned growing up on a small homestead in Igo.

Erin has been sewing for over 25 years, bringing stories to life through her passion for costume design. With a background in art and design and an Associate’s degree in Humanities, she combines creativity with a keen eye for detail to help each character shine. Outside the costume shop, she enjoys soaking up the sunshine and spending time with her husband and kids.

Breanna is currently the assistant director of the Youth Theatre program; she was a part of RPAC's Performance Theatre program for nearly 4 years, and then went on to earn a certificate in Musical Theatre from Bethel Conservatory of the Arts. She loves the community that theatre fosters, and the collaborative process of telling a story with other people that love to perform. She is very passionate about helping students grow in their confidence, compassion, and love for the arts, just like her RPAC teachers did for her.

Ryan will graduate from Simpson University in 2027 with a Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies and a Minor in Music. As the first student to complete the Redding Performing Arts Center high school program, he discovered his passion for acting and singing through its creative opportunities. A bucket-list dream of his is to perform at Disneyland as part of the Dapper Dans barbershop quartet.

Elisabeth Knight

Elisabeth has 23 years of dance experience in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre, pointe, modern and even a little hip hop. From the time she could stand, she has been dancing. She has always loved the stories that are told through dance, and it’s her passion to help others unlock their stories through movement.

Lydia Ouverson

Born and raised in Iowa, Lydia's passion for the creative arts began at the ripe age of four with her stage debut in a YMCA production of The Boy Who Cried "Wolf." She has since participated in over 50 productions across youth theatre, educational, and community settings, and has worked as a director, choreographer, musical director and theatrical educator over the last 10 years. Lydia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Acting, and continues to perform, direct and teach locally in Redding.

Kelcy is an experienced educator with a Bachelors Degree in Acting for Theatre and Film, a Certificate in Theatre Arts, and training from Broadway Teaching Group, Actors Door Meisner Studio London, and Shenandoah CCM Institute. Along with helping students realize their creative potential, she loves spending a rainy day with a good historical fiction novel, a cup of English tea, and her Yorkie, Gus.

Halle Witbeck

Credentials

Halle began dancing at the age of three and has trained extensively in Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz, and other studio styles. She trained at several studios across Washington state, later completing a three-month dance apprenticeship in 2021 that deepened her technical and artistic development. Since then, she has performed in multiple Redding-based projects and currently dances with Commune Dance Company.

Brandon Baumann

Brandon holds a Master’s Degree from Kent State University in Music Education and a Vocal Pedagogy Certificate from Somatic Voice Works (The LoVetri Method). He has had dance training in Ballet and Contemporary through MVBT, Artesan Dance Company, and Redding City Dance Company.
